Sometimes it can seem as though nobody understands, and despite having loving friends and family around us, we can still feel lonely, sad, and ultimately, depressed.
For some people, their mood may be so low that it can be difficult to get out of bed. Others may spend the day watching tv, or lying on their sofa, unable to motivate themselves to do any more. Some people may feel tearful, may cry, or may have 'dark' thoughts, or suicidal thoughts.
Evidence has found that CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) can be very helpful in aiding people to recover from depression and low mood.
We would like to offer you 'hope' that recovery is possible. You may have had therapy of some kind before, that has helped a little or not helped you much at all. CBT might be different for you. We appreciate that when you are feeling low, it is very difficult to seek help. We also recognise that the person reading this right now, may be the friend or loved one of a person who is exhibiting symptoms of being depressed, and you may be worried about them.
What we suggest is that you give us a call, or send us an email, and let's take it from there. Our service is private and confidential.
