Throughout our lives there are times when our health or the health of a loved one can naturally become a cause for concern.
For those experiencing health anxiety however, this natural concern can become magnified to such intensity that it hampers their ability to function on a day to day basis and limits their ability to enjoy life.
Many hours can be spent scanning their bodies checking for signs of illness, or seeking reassurance from others whether from the medical profession or family and friends. Although reassurance seeking can help, it typically brings about only a brief respite before anxiety provoking and troublesome thoughts resurface once again.
